Mount Carmel played perhaps its best game of the young basketball season, Friday, as the Cougars erupted for 81 points in a 81-65 MIAA B Conference win over host Annapolis Area Christian, in Annapolis.

AACS (4-4, 2-2), one of the rising powers in the B Conference, had little success containing the Cougars (6-5, 3-2), especially the trio of Gabe Yuille, Lucas Gallina and Cory Groom, who combined for 50 points.

Yuille led the way with 18 and Groom had 17.  Both players hit a pair of three-points, while Gallina sank one in his 15-point effort.

Austin Nwosu of AACS matched Yuille for game-high scoring honors with 18 points and he also had five rebounds.  In addition, Tyler Lewis and Conner Lipinski combined for 25 points for the Eagles.
