For the second straight spring/summer offseason, area high school football teams will compete at the Ravens’ 7-on-7 Passing Jamboree. The first session is Saturday at St. Paul’s School.
Reigning state champs Old Mill (Class 4A) and River Hill (Class 3A) will be part of a 28-team field at the Brooklandville school. Four teams (top two in each bracket) will advance to the championship round at M&T Bank Stadium in July.
Last year, River Hill, Poly, McDonogh School and Good Counsel qualified out of the St. Paul’s session for the championship round at M&T Bank Stadium. McDonogh School defeated Good Counsel for championship.
Four more teams will be selected for this year’s finals next Saturday June 9 at Frederick High.
