With Winters Mill’s two wins on Thursday evening, the Falcons have set up a battle of the undefeateds when they take on South Carroll, Saturday, likely for the county crown.

The 13-0 Falcons made quick work of No. 18 Wilde Lake and Catonsville at the double dual, topping the Wildecats, 54-15, and downing the Comets, 53-23.

Against Wilde Lake, the Falcons allowed three early wins by Wildecats Polosky (119), Trinh (125) and Coffield (140), but Winters Mill went on to win the next nine matches, five by six-point wins, to runaway with the tam score.

Pinners for the Falcons included Pusateri (135), Oxendine (140), Hightower (189), burndley (215) and Kozera (285), as Cullison worked a tech fall at 152, and majors were awrded by Valdez and Logue at 103 and 112 to lose the match.

Moving on to the Comets in round two, Cullison upgraded from his prior tech fall to a pin at 152, joined by four other teammates, and former major decision winner Valdez took a tech fall at 103.

Catonsville managed four wins in the fight against Winters Mill, seeing pins from Thragher (125), Hilton (145) and Wheedon (189), with a tech fall by Nickerson at 135.

In all, the Flacons won 21 bouts on the day, recording 13 six-point wins in preparation for a very tough South Carroll team.
