It was a complete-game win for Fallston’s Justin Sommer, Tuesday, as the hurler tossed seven innings while giving up just one run in the 4-1 Cougar win over the Harford Tech Cobras.

Sommer allowed eight hits and made four strikeouts throughout his seven innings of work, adding a double at the plate to held the Cougars in a three-run fourth and one-run fifth.

Jamie Taylor tied the game with an RBI in the fourth, scoring Matt Del Pilar, and finished the day three-for-three with two runs batted in and scored a run a run scored.  

The Cougar batter added an insurance run in the fifth with an RBI-single, scoring Brandon Del Pilar for the team’s fourth run of the game, while Grant Kelly posted a one-for-two game and scored a run.

Jacob Bright led the Cobras at the plate in his two-for-four day, as John Lacombs and Dre Jones reach added Tech hits.

Bright drove in the Cobras’ only run of the game in the third inning, while Lacomb pitched the complete-game loss, allowing six hits and striking out two batters.

The 4-2 Cougars have a week before entering another showdown with No. 9 C. Milton Wright, looking for their second win of the year over the Mustangs, while Harford Tech hosts Elkton this Friday.
