Junior goes for 35 as Greyhounds slide past Annapolis Area Christian


Christian Winborne finished with 35 points Monday in Gilman’s 60-58 victory over Annapolis Area Christian.

Junior guard Christian Winborne scored 35 points, leading Gilman School to a 60-58 victory over Annapolis Area Christian School in a MIAA A Conference basketball match at the Finney Center in Roland Park Monday.

Winborne scored 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Greyhounds improved to 3-0 overall. Gilman, Mount Carmel (3-0) and St. Frances Academy (3-0) are only undefeated teams in the truncated MIAA A season. Dylan Long led Annapolis Area Christian (0-3, 0-3 MIAA A) with 18 points, and Jordan Smith added 10.

The Eagles host Gerstell Academy Wednesday in MIAA A play while Gilman visits Mount Carmel in a battle of undefeated squads.
