What a difference a season made for Owings Mills High football. Entering the 2009 campaign, the Eagles owned a 50-game losing streak and were the laughing stocks of Baltimore County.

Not anymore. Owings Mills won three games last season, thanks in part to the arrival of linemen Donovan Smith, a transfer from New York. Smith is regarded as one of the nation’s top line prospects.

This fall, Owings Mills, under second-year coach Steve Lurz looks to build off of last season’s success. Last Saturday, the Eagles took the field at Dundalk for the Baltimore County Jamboree, playing Milford Mill and Catonsville.

Here is a glimpse at that performance.
