No. 20 Wildecats hit 3-0; Ngue scores twice
Nate Hicks rushed for 106 yards and Allen Ngue added two touchdown runs as 20th-ranked Wilde Lake High defeated Centennial, 45-0, in a Howard County football game in Columbia Friday.
Daniel Jackson and Nate Hicks each had a rushing score for the Wildecats, off to a 3-0 start (3-0 Howard) for the first time since 2008 when they reached the Class 3A state final in legendary coach Doug Duvall’s final season. Eli Fisher tossed a 23-yard touchdown pass to Amari Hutson.
Cameron Burris and Jarret Monah each recorded for safeties. Huston recorded three sacks while Hammad Qureshi and Kyjuan Adams each had an interception.
Centennial, which didn’t field a varsity squad last fall, fell to 0-3 (0-3 Howard). The Eagles have lost their last 12 decisions, dating back to the 2016 campaign.
