Senior center Jaylin Sharp (pictured left) scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, and Tyrell Wilson and Maynard Brown both contributed 13, leading Northwestern High to a 68-40 decision over C. Milton Wright in a non-league contest Monday afternoon in Baltimore. The Wildcats (5-6 overall) outscored the Mustangs, 22-12, in the second quarter to establish a 37-22 halftime advantage.
Chris Bay led all scorers with 18 points for C. Milton Wright (3-9) and tied Sharp for game-high honors with 11 rebounds. The Mustangs dive back in UCBAC play Wednesday evening against defending champ Havre de Grace.
Northwestern takes on Southside Academy in a Baltimore City league Division II match Friday. Tuesday, the Wildcats host No. 12 Forest Park with first place on the line.
