Havre de Grace pulled one over the Joppatowne Mariners, Friday, sinking their UCBAC opponents in a 9-6 boys’ lacrosse win.
Leading the Warriors on the turf at James Harris Stadium, junior Justin Gosnell laced five of the team’s nine goals, assisting in another and winning 10 ground balls, while senior Chris Castillo net two goals of his own and won six ground balls.
Seniors Kip Brown and Dan Dimeo each added goals to the Havre de Grace Score, Brown attaching an assist and Dimeo winning 12 ground balls and controlled most of the team’s face-offs.
The Warrior defense was led by Tyler Coakley in goal, making 12 saves and controlling 5 ground balls in his clearing game, with the rest of the defense led by seniors Ryan Weismiller, Heart Martin and sophomore Jahre Jordan.
Joppatowne was saw most of its scoring from Dillon, netting four goals, and Taylor, rocketing two.
Havre de Grace next heads to Harford Tech to take on the Cobras, Monday, while Joppatowne takes to Patterson Mill on Wednesday.
