Havre de Grace split two games earlier this week in their boys’ lacrosse action, beating the Perryville Panthers on Wednesday, but dropping to Pikesville on Monday.
Perryville was first to score, Wednesday, but it was a Warrior show to follow, as Havre de Grace rattled off eight unanswered goals for the 8-1 win.
Havre de Grace was led by junior goaltender Tyler Coakley and his 13 saves, while seniors Heart Martin and Ryan Weismiller provided the protective defense combined with four and five groundballs, respectively.
Scoring was done by junior Justin Gosnell, netting two goals and four assists, seniors Dan Dimeo and Chris Castillo, each racking two goals, and senior attackman Mark Holloway adding one goal. Weismiller posted the final goal of the game.
The Havre de Grace win came just two days after a close loss to Pikesville, 8-5, where Castillo laced three goals to Gosnell’s two scores in the game.
Tyler Coakley made 14 saves while trying to fend-off the Pikesville shooters.
Havre de Grace will try to finish the week 2-1 when taking on Joppatowne, Friday, making the trip down Rt. 40 to play the Mariners on their home turf.
