Havre de Grace battled Joppatowne in girls’ lacrosse, Friday, with the Warriors fending off the Mariners in the second half for an 11-9 win.
Scoring nine of their 11 goals in the first half, Carley Thompson led the Warriors with four goals in the game, next to Maddie Hewitt’s three and two-goal games by Katie Thompson and Kara Neiblerein.
Margaret Stump finished the Friday game with an assist, helping Havre de Grace in a two-goal second half, while Abby Blessing and Erin Worthington split time in the Warrior goal and made four saves each.
Havre de Grace next sees Perryville, Tuesday, while Joppatowne takes on North East.
