VarsitySportsNetwork.com joins the Harford Tech High School community in mourning the loss of Devonte Bundley, a 2010 gradaute. Bundley, a freshman at Harford Community College, collapsed during the first men’s basketball team practice Friday and was rushed to Chesapeake Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death has not been determined. Bundley was 18.

“Harford Community College is deeply saddened by this sudden, tragic loss,” Harford Community College President Dr. Dennis Golladay said in a statement. “Although he was only at Harford for a little over a month, Devonte touched the lives of many on campus. He will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.”

Bundley, a 6-foot-4-inch forward, averaged 11.4 points and 11 rebounds in his senior year with the Cobras. He also ran track in his junior year and wrestled.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
