The Urbana Hawks one-upped the Centennial Eagles, Tuesday night, seeing all 11 of their individual wins add up to the 66-17 victory.

Winning every bout by fall or forfeit, Mike Vernelson, Joe Rimel, Matt Semelsberger, Danny Hipkins, Karl Brady, Dave Abretski and Brandon Plante all had six-point wins between 171 and 119, and, one match later, won all the bouts between 130 and 145 to secure the team win.

Nathan Kraisser was the single wrestler to break up the Urbana winning streak with a tech fall at 125, while teammates Zach Portnoff (160) and Joewy Wysocki (152) opened and closed the match with other Eagles wins.

Wrestlers in Urbana’s second streak of wins were Billy Krop, pinning Centennial’s Macon Stanley after trailing 10-3 at 130, JT Freeze (135), Jake Thomas (140) and Dave Campbell (145).

Centennial will next face an array of oppnonets when they take to the Loyola Duals on Jan. 5.
