Catonsville wears down Towson for a shutout victory

Host Towson put forth a gallant defensive effort on its home field, Saturday afternoon, but the Generals were eventually worn down by undefeated Catonsville, as the Comets prevailed 34-0 in a Baltimore County Division 1 football game.
Of course the Comet defense was also sensational, as it recorded its third consecutive shutout to start the season.
Joshua Annan, on a 37-yard pass from Sean Ryan, gave Catonsville a 7-0 lead with 5 minutes remaining in the first half.
Catonsville then returned the opening kickoff of the second half all the way to Towson 14-yard line, leading to a 10-yard touchdown run by Karon Pearson. The PAT was missed by the Comets grew their lead to 13-0.
Early in the fourth quarter, Daniel Heffern scored on a 10-yard rush for Catonsville. Down the stretch the Comets added 14-yard touchdown run by Damon Chase and 16-yard rushing score by Carlito Jones.
Catonsville is now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in Baltimore County Division I. The Generals are 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the league.
