Archbishop Curley received a strong performance from starting pitcher Mitchell Sutton, on Wednesday, and the Friars pounded out 13 hits, as they routed defending MIAA A Conference champion Gilman, 10-2, on the road in Roland Park.

Sutton, a sophomore, pitched a complete game, allowing six hits, striking out five and allowing just one walk.

“[It was an] an outstanding performance,” said Curley head coach Jack Thomas.

Freshman Zach Ridgely, junior Ricky Warble and senior Dennis Thomas each doubled for the Friars, while senior Tyler Burton had three hits to power the offense.
