Senior’s nine point performance leads Calvert Hall over Canada’s Hill Academy

Even during its three year reign over the MIAA A Conference, the Calvert Hall lacrosse team had its troubles with Canada’s Hill Academy. Tuesday in Towson, the Hall’s Truitt Sunderland gave the Canadians plenty of trouble of his own.

Sunderland, a University of Virginia commit, scored a game-high four goals and dished out five assists in the Cardinals’ 11-8 victory.

Hill, which edged Archbishop Spalding on a final minute goal on Sunday, could not match Calvert Hall’s offensive firepower on this day, as the Cardinals built a 7-4 lead at the half and stayed a few strides in front the rest of the day.

Jordan Wray scored three times and added an assist for Calvert Hall (5-1), Wyatt Hottle scored two goals and one goal and one assist came from Nick Steele and Davis Provost.

Hill’s Liam Matthews scored two goals, while Bowie Horsman, Alex Rousseau and Jaden Ciaparra combined for three goals and five assists.
