St. Frances, Calvert Hall, Spalding, Mount St. Joseph and McDonogh back in Top 10; Dunbar leaves

There’s no significant changes for area high school football squads in the latest state media Top 25 poll.

St. Frances Academy remains unanimous No. 1 with Calvert Hall College (3rd) and Archbishop Spalding (No. 5) and Mount St. Joseph (6th) holding steady. McDonogh School moved one spot to No. 8

Franklin remains the area’s highest ranked public team, climbing a spot to 12th. Also of local interest in the poll are No. 14 Loyola Blakefield, No. 20 Milford Mill Academy, No. 21 Mervo and No. 24 Elkton.

Dunbar fell out of the Top 25, but received votes along with South River.
