The MPSSAA boys’ and girls’ soccer committees and directors are in place for the 2010 season. North County athletic director Marianne Shultz is the girls’ director and will be joined on the committee by Arundel’s Tom Degner, Dean Sheridan (Glenelg), Sue Lane of Randallstown, Aberdeen’s Matt Roberts and Western coach Sue Winemiller.
Winemiller (3A North), Sheridan (2A South), Degner (4A East), Lane (2A North) and Roberts (1A North) will serve as region tournament directors. Carver A&T athletic director Lori Brewer will direct the 1A South tourney.
Broadneck coach Sean Tettemer (4A East), Matt Shagogue from River Hill (3A East), Kenwood athletic director Derek Maki (4A North), Eastern Tech’s Peter Glaudemans (2A North), Rising Sun’s Don Barclay (2A East) and Reginald Lewis athletic director Carol Ansell (1A South), will sit on the boys’ committee and direct region tournaments. Harford Tech’s Andy Bleichfeld (1A North), Oakland Mills’ Brett Cutler (2A South) and Catonsville athletic director Dave Lane (3A North) are the other local region directors.
The state finals are scheduled for Nov. 18-20 at UMBC’s Retriever Stadium.
