Rob Maddux hit .330 in the match and also led the passing stats with a 2.6 rating to lead the St. Paul’s School boys volleyball team in a thrilling 25-11, 23-25, 20-25, 25-16, 15-8 victory over John Carroll in a MIAA non-confernece match Monday.
St. Paul’s, of the B Conference, remain undefeated at 7-0 overall, 3-0 in the conference. John Carroll, of the A Confernece, fell to 2-5, 0-4.
Tanner Brooks set the ball 90 times with 36 asists for St. Paul’s while the the team served at 88 percent. Charlie Polovoy was the team’s leading server.
John Carroll won the second and third sets to take the lead but St. Paul’s rallied back. In the final set, Mac Hall was credited with three of the team’s nine kills in the set.
