Tanner Brooks scored 21 points, and Nigel Sydnor added 20 as No. 18 St. Paul’s School throttled archrival Boys’ Latin, 75-54, in a MIAA B Conference tilt in Brooklandville Friday evening. The Crusaders (14-4 overall) built a 13-point halftime cushion as they remained in a first-place tie with Glenelg Country School at 10-1.
St. Paul’s out-rebounded the Lakers, 33-23 as Lamonte Wade pulled down 12 rebounds to go along with nine points. Greg Pyke led Boys’ Latin (3-11, 1-9 MIAA B) with 16 points, and Wells Stanwick finished with 11.
The Crusaders are back in action Saturday evening when No. 7 Mount St. Joseph visits for a MIAA non-conference battle. Boys’ Latin has a five-minute bus ride to Gilman School Wednesday for a conference match.
