The St. Mary’s Saints placed five wrestlers in this weekend’s Andy Perez Memorial Tournament, crowning one champion in 152-pound Bryce Pappas.
Going an undefeated 9-0 on the round robin tournament, Pappas led the way for teammates Gabe Pastirik and Connor Crowley to finish in runner-up positions at 125 and 215, respectively, with 8-1 records, and Mike Richardson placing thirs at 140 with a 7-2 record.
Robert Middleton also placed for the Saints, finishing fourth at 135, going 5-4.
The Saints will take back to the mat on Thursday, traveling to Annapolis Area Christian for a tri-meet with Middleburg Academy and the host AACS.
