Parme and Ayree combine for 30 points to lead the Saints


At home in Annapolis, the St. Mary’s boys basketball team snapped a three-game losing skid and picked up its first MIAA B Conference basketball victory of the season, Friday, as the Saints defeated visiting Chapelgate Christian, 49-36.

Mike Parme and Jacob Aryee combined for 30 points to lead the Saints (7-10 overall, 1-4 MIAA B). Parme hit four three-pointers and netted a game-high 16 points, while Aryee had three treys and finished with 14 points.

No other Saint scored more than four points, but St. Mary’s did get points from nine different players.

Chapelgate (9-10 overall) started its league schedule with three straight wins, but the Yellow Jackets are now 3-3 in the conference.
