Twelve Panthers score in victory

St. Frances, after a couple of impressive season-opening out of town wins, made a shorter trip, Tuesday, traveling to Archbishop Curley and routing the host Friars, 81-48, in a non-league MIAA basketball contest.

The Panthers (3-0) rolled out to a 22-8 first quarter lead and held the Friars to single digit scoring in each of the first three quarters, in building a 61-25 margin.

Julian Reese scored 13 points to lead 12 Panthers on the score sheet. Jordan Toles and Bryon Ireland added 10 each.

Curley’s Niyon Carroll led all scorers with 15 points on five three pointers. Caleb Johnson also scored 11 for the Friars (1-2).
