Towson University senior field hockey player Christian Boarman, who starred in the IAAM at St. Paul’s School for Girls, will travel to Virginia Beach this week to participate in the USA Field Hockey National Championships, as member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Team.
Held in conjunction with the National Futures Championships at USAFH’s national training center, the event features six teams, each representing one of the USAFH’s regional High Performance centers. The rosters will include several collegiate All-Americans as well as current members of the US National Team. In addition, players who play in this tournament are being evaluated for possible future selection to the National Team.
Boarman was named First-Team All-CAA last year, as she set school records for most goals (20) and ponts (55) in a season. She also owns the Towson record for most assists in a career (29) and is on the verge of breaking the records for most career goals (44) and points (111). She is shy of those marks by five goals and three points, respectively.
Boarman was a three-time All-Metro selection while at St. Paul’s and she earned First-Team All-State honors as a senior. She also led the Gators to three IAAM A Conference championships.
