Cavaliers improve to 3-1 in the MIAA A Conference
The Archbishop Spalding boys basketball team continued its strong start, Wednesday, defeating No. 11 McDonogh, 72-62, in a MIAA A Conference game at Spalding.
The Cavaliers (3-2 overall, 3-1 MIAA A) had three guys in double figures with Josh Akers, a Hood College commit, scored 14 points and hitting four three-pointers.
Ty Peterson added 11 points and Cam Whittmore netted 12 points.
Veteran coach Josh Pratt, who won MIAA and BCL titles at Towson Catholic in the past, is in his first year leading Spalding, where he once served as an assistant coach.
McDonogh (5-4 overall) continues on a bit of an early season roller coaster. This loss follows Monday win over then No. 3 Mount St. Joseph. The Eagles are now 2-1 in the MIAA A.
