South River continues to roll along in Anne Arundel County football and the Seahawks improved to 4-1 on Friday night with a dominant 43-0 victory over host Northeast.
Lavon Chaney scored three touchdowns, including two in the second quarter when South River busted open the contest with 29 points. Chaney, who rushed for 142 yards in the game, got his first score on a nine yard run in the first quarter. His second quarter scores were from nine and three yards, respectively,
Shane Lee connected with Jesse Holian for a pair of second quarter touchdown passes and finished with 154 yards passing, with Holian generating 109 of those yards.
The Northeast defense forced two first quarter turnovers, but eventually broke down against the sustained offensive pressure of South River. Northeast fell to 2-3 on the season.
