St. Paul’s School has announced the hiring Danny Skelton as its new head soccer coach.

Skelton spent the last four years as the boys’ head soccer coach at Perry Hall High School where he compiled a record of 61-2-11 and led the program to two consecutive Maryland 4A state title game appearances in 2008 and 2009. He also led the program to three Baltimore County titles during those four years and was named the Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro Boys Coach of the Year in 2009.

Skelton was a standout player and captain at Towson University before beginning his coaching career at Patapsco High  

In addition to his coaching duties, Skelton will be a Middle and Lower School counselor at St. Paul’s.

Skelton replaces Greg Schreiner who led the Crusaders to two consecutive appearances in the MIAA B Conference Championship game, winning the title in 2010.
