No. 10 Severna Park defeated visiting No. 13 Dulaney, 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 26-24) on Tuesday afternoon in non-league action.
The Falcons improved to 1-1 overall and against Baltimore County teams having lost to No. 4 Towson last Friday. Dulaney dropped to 0-1 on the young season.
Senior outside hitter Carli Converse led the way for Severna Park with 11 kills, 15 digs, two aces and went 20-for-22 serving.
Senior Katie Liccione tallied 20 digs and was a perfect 17-for-17 serving with five aces.
Senior setter Erin Bell (16 assists, 5 kills, 14/16 serving, 1 ace), freshman outside hitter Kara Glynn (7 kills), sophomore Kim Bell (10 assists, 13/14 serving, 2 aces), senior Rachel Welsh (3 kills, 4 blocks) and sophomore Abbie Hoekstra (3 kills, 3 blocks) all had strong games for Severna Park.
