Paige Briganti had two hits and drove in two runs as No. 19 Severna Park High defeated North County, 10-5, in an Anne Arundel County league contest Wednesday.
Carly Moore and Janie Thrift each added two hits and an RBI for the Falcons (2-2 overall, 1-2 Anne Arundel). Pitcher Clare Hofstedt struck out four batters on her way to picking up the win.
Grayson Metzger, Claire Hanratty and Katie Seibel knocked in a run for Severna Park, which built a 9-1 lead after four innings. Kate Helmick had a pair of singles and an RBI for North County (2-2. 2-1 Anne Arundel), which surprised No. 2 and defending Class 4A state champ Broadneck Monday.
The Knights travel to Annapolis Friday while Severna Park welcomes Meade.
