Severn ran it’s baseball winning streak to 10 games, Monday, defeating St. Vincent Pallotti, 12-4, in Laurel.

Severn pounded out 11 hits and was led by David Jaklitsch, Kyle Nicholas, Jack Elstner and Christian Marciano, who combined to collect nine hits in 15 at bats.  Marciano had team-high three hits, while the others all contributed two apiece.

Elstner earned the pitching win, going six tough innings, surrendering four runs (1 earned) on six hits while striking out seven and issuing only one base on balls.  Marciano pitched a flawless seventh inning to finish the game.

Severn returns to action, Tuesday, at the University of Maryland in a highly anticipated match-up against St. Mary’s.  Both teams enter the contest undefeated in MIAA B Conference play and lead their respective divisions.  First pitch is at 7:00 pm.
