Conference play picks up for Severn next week but the Admirals had still have some non-league business to finish. On Thursday, Severn defeated Arundel, 3-0.
Kaya Gordon got the scoring started with a goal that was assisted by Rachel Steinberg. Danielle Thompson added another first half goal, assisted by Gordon.
In the second half, Caroline Code put the game out of reach for the Wildcats (0-1). In goal, Cara Anstey and Allie Kinlein each made four saves. The Admirals outshot Arundel 13-8 and led the Wildcats 13-4 in penalty corners.
Severn (2-1 overall, 0-1 IAAM A) will compete in the Lady Cavalier Invitational at Archbishop Spalding this weekend with match ups against Broadneck and Chesapeake on Saturday. Then the Admirals will have six straight league games beginning with McDonogh on Tuesday.
