The Severn girls varsity basketball team had a successful holiday week, winning three games to capture the Queen Anne’s Holiday Tournament on the Eastern Shore.
In the opening round, the Admirals routed Chesapeake-AA, 71-25, and continued to roll from there. In the semifinals, Severn blitzed St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes (VA), 76-49, before taking down Bishop O’Connell (VA), 67-51, in the championship game.
Severn’s Deja Gibson was named Tournament MVP and teammate Alexa Kunowsky joined her on the all-tournament team.
