Severn followed Monday’s critical victory over Park School with a 3-0 victory over visiting St. Vincent Pallotti, on Tuesday, to lock up third place in the Black Division of the MIAA B Conference and clinch its place in the league playoffs, which get underway next week.

The Admirals (8-8-1, 6-6-0) celebrated Senior Day and, fittingly, a senior started the scoring when Andrew Igler netted a header from a corner kick from sophomore Max Hurlebus.  In the second half, senior Kevin Priddy crossed a ball to junior Joe Kotler for the second goal.  Senior Nick Stringfellow finished the scoring, taking a feed from Kotler and driving 30 yards past the defense to beat the goalie.

Senior Colin Rainey anchored the defense that kept Pallotti in check all game.  Fellow seniors Andrew Igler, Ben Stringfellow and junior Chris Kiehne combined with Rainey and goalie Bobby DeStefano to secure the shutout.
