McCarthy has a goal and two assists to lead the Admirals
Playing at home on Monday, Severn boys soccer team picked up its third win of the season, blanking No. 11 South River, 3-0, behind a big night from Colin McCarthy.
McCarthy staked the Admirals (3-1) to a 1-0 first half lead and then assisted on two second half goals as Severn pulled away. Ammar Yousif and Hudson Lamb each scored one goal and Matt Sotiropoulos had an assist.
Severn outshot the Seahawks 8-1 in the first half and 13-2 for the game.
South River fell to 2-3 on the season.
