After recently returning from a tournament in Florida, Seton Keough High’s volleyball team dragged a little at the start of its contest with Maryvale Prep Wednesday afternoon. The No. 7 Gators eventually found their legs and swept the Lions, 25-18, 26-24 and 25-10.
EJ Igwe had 10 kills and four aces for Seton Keough, and Liz Brown added 7 kills and two blocks. Adama Aja finished with 6 kills, 3 aces and 4 blocks, and Caroline Orlando (9 digs) and Rianna Wontrop (3 kills and 3 aces) also contributed.
Seton Keough kicks off IAAM A Conference play with No. 15 McDonogh School Monday afternoon on Caton Avenue. Maryvale (1-2 overall) plays Bryn Mawr School Monday in a non-conference tilt.
