Second half goals spark Marriotts Ridge

Marriotts Ridge and host Howard played to a 0-0 tie in the first half before senior midfielder Alexandra Price scored two goals to give the Mustangs the victory on Friday.

Price volleyed in a throw from Maxine Brewer at 23:18. Her second goal was a direct kick 30 yards out at 11:49. Goalkeeper Kristene Mumbry stopped 10 shots to collect a shutout.

Marriotts Ridge played to 0-0 tie with Century last week and picked up it’s first victory and conference win of the season.

The Mustangs will face Wilde Lake on Wedesday while the Lions will visit No. 1 Archbishop Spalding on Monday at 5:45.
