Defense was only optional on Monday, when Roland Park Country School visited Mount de Sales to complete the IAAM A Conference lacrosse regular season for both schools, as the Reds and Sailors combined for 39 goals in a 21-18 RPCS victory.

Following the action up and down the field was much like watching a tennis ball volleyed back and forth across a court as eight players scored three goals or more.

Roland Park (10-6, 9-4) was led by a five goal performance from junior Daniela Eppler. Senior Cara Facchina and sophomore Kelly Phelan also fired home five goals each for Mount de Sales (7-10, 3-10).

Caroline Seats and Betsy Angel scored four times each for the Reds, while Madison Formwalt scored a game-high eight points with three goals and five assists. Meggie Ramzy added yet another hat-trick for RPCS and Catherine Gordon scored twice.

Claire Jennings had three goals for Mount de Sales and Kayley Jones netted a pair.

RPCS will be the sixth seed in the A Conference playoffs, while Mount de Sales will be in the 11th slot.
