Poly High football junior Donovan Riley (pictured left) has received a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech, Riley’s father, Reginald, told Varsity Sports Network Thursday evening. It’s the first offer for the 6-foot-2, 185-pound wideout/defensive back.

Coming off a strong showing at the U.S. Army All-American combine in San Antonio in January, Riley has attracted interest from host of Division I schools including Boston College, UCONN, Maryland, Penn State, PITT, Rutgers, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Virginia. Last season, Riley led the Engineers in receiving (43 catches for 900 yards, 6 TDs) and added 46 tackles and six interceptions on defense.
