Kavon Pyatt scored 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, and Terrell Curbean sparked a late fourth quarter charge as No. 8 Edmondson defeated Parkville, 75-66, at the 15th annual Basketball Academy at Coppin State University Thursday evening. Michael Bradley and senior point guard Rodney Pratcher each chipped in 13 for the Red Storm (11-1 overall).

Curbean, a senior guard, broke with a 61-61 tie with a basket with 2 minutes, 18 seconds left in regulation. After three free throws by Bradley extended the Red Storm lead to 66-61, Curbean drained a three-pointer with 1:18 left for an eight-point cushion.

Senior center James Milton led all scorers with 25 points for Parkville (10-4), which was minus coach Rod Norris, who became ill Thursday morning. Assistant coach Larry Washington filled in.

Jamal Williams added 20 for the Knights, which led 51-49 entering the final quarter. The Baltimore County squad led by as many as eight points in the first half before Edmondson regained the lead, 35-30, at halftime.

The Knights return to Coppin Saturday for a matchup with No. 3 Dunbar. Edmondson takes on Aberdeen Saturday afternoon at Coppin.
