Senior forward Ryan Burgess had 25 points and 17 rebounds as Edgewood High defeated New Era Academy, 61-53, in a non-league boys’ basketball contest in Baltimore City Thursday.

Tiare Waldon finished with seven points, eight rebounds and five rebounds for the Harford County school, which improved to 15-6. The Rams are back in Baltimore City Friday for a non-league match against Bluford Drew Jemison to end their regular season.

New Era (10-10), which won the city Division III title last season, will play Southwestern for the city Division II crown, Saturday at 4 p.m. at Coppin State.
