The Sparrows Point Pointers saw eight victories this past weekend, combining all of them for the top position at the Joppatowne Duals.
Going perfect on the weekend and beating all their Maryland foes, the Pointers took to the other undefeated team, White Plains, of New York and edged a close victory, 36-33, for the tournament win.
With the match tied at 33-33, Sparrows Point 119-pounder Cody Lewis battled a hard fought 11-6 decision to give the Pointers the team win, and earning his eighth win of the weekend.
Other eight-win wrestlers included Drew Clark (285) and Mike Iman (171).
Sparrows Point will next take on Woodlawn, Dec. 21, before taking tome off over winter break.
