In a battle that saw 11 pins in 14 bouts, it was the Perry hall Gators who stuk it out to the finish, beating the No. 11 Bel Air Bobcats, 42-38.

The four-point difference was all in bonus points, Tuesday, as each team won seven weightclasses on the night, but Perry Hall doing so with seven falls to earn the team win.

In a string of four consecutive falls, Soper (215), Huber (285), Salvo (103) and Grindle (112) built upon an earlier Clemons fall at 171 for a 30-18 lead, and added pins by Murphy and Paguia at 130 and 145 secured the team win.

Key losses for the Gators, which some would say were as good as wins, came at 119 and 125, where Rhudy, Sacco and Biondo were able to fight off their backs and hold their Bobcat opponents to point-wins so that the team could earn the overall victory.

Bel Air opened the match with back-to-back falls from Cross and Moore at 152 and 160, and later added pins by Kuegler, and Cross.

The Bobcats lost two bonus points to the Gators when Proctor and Taylor earned five-point tech falls at 119 135 and 119, respectively, and dropped another two bonus points with a Bel Air major decision by Bush at 125.
