In a must-win conference match against visiting St. John’s Catholic Prep, Indian Creek came up big with a resounding 5-2 MIAA C Conference soccer victory, on Tuesday.

Junior co-captain KC Pendergrast added to his personal score-sheet, factoring in on every Eagle goal, scoring four himself, and assisting on the fifth.  Pendergrast opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the match off a well-placed ball from sophomore Ryan Vreeland.  The Eagles scoring leader would tally a goal via direct kick, just outside the penalty area, in the 23rd minute, and two minutes later, by way of a throw-in from Pierce Hurlbutt.

St. John’s would score on a direct free kick by junior Bobby Ordonio, and at halftime the scoreboard read 3-1.

St. John’s made it even more interesting when Carson Jones headed home a cross from Stephen Bulley, early in the second half, but ICS regained its footing thanks again to Pendergrast.

Pendergarast scored again off a ball from fellow co-captain Phil Russell in the 73rd minute.  The Eagles would put the nail in the coffin three minutes later as Pendergrast fed Hurlbutt for a left-footed rocket to the upper-ninety.  Sophomore Danny Pelavin had seven saves in goal for the win.
