The Patterson Mill softball team held strong for a 4-2 win, Monday afternoon, scoring two two-run innings and holding off the Cougars for the win at Fallston High School.

Fallston was first to get on the board, scoring a run in the first inning, but saw the Huskies score twice in both the third and sixth innings to take a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh.

There, Fallston was able to score once in the final inning, before falling victim to the final out of the game.

Cougar Liz Deckelman went two-for-three on the day, driving in one run and laying out to catch a pop-up bunt during the game, while Sam Day finished two-for-four with a score.

Jess Moore received the loss, pitching seven inning and striking our three batters, and also went one-for-two from the plate.

Fallston’s next game comes against Havre de Grace, Wednesday, while Patterson Mill takes on Aberdeen.
