Friday’s boys’ basketball contest between top-ranked Patterson High and No. 4 Edmondson has been moved to Coppin State University’s Physical Education Complex. The game will tip at 7 p.m.
The game was originally scheduled to be played at Edmondson, but with an expected huge turnout, Baltimore City Schools’ Supervisor of Athletics Bob Wade said a bigger venue is needed.
Last week, a doubleheader at Morgan State University’s Hill Field House featuring Dunbar against Patterson and Lake Clifton versus Digital Harbor attracted more than 2,000 spectators.
No. 5 Dunbar and No. 12 City College will also play at Coppin at 5 p.m. Tickets for the doubleheader will be $5 at the door.
The Patterson-Edmondson and Dunbar-City junior varsity contest will be played as scheduled at Edmondson and City, respectively, at Friday at 3:45 p.m.
