The John Carroll Patriots were strictly on business, Tuesday afternoon, taking on and putting down both Bowie and Calvert Hall in a tri-meet.
In the 28 matches, the Patriots lost just one, seeing Bowie receive a forfeit at 160, but John Carroll managed 18 pin, five tech falls, two decisions and earned two forfeits on the day.
Recording two pins for the Pats were Artie Millner (103), George Weber (125), Lance Waters (130), Dan Froehlich (135), Mathew Miller (171), Chris Grimm (189) and Kyle Miele (215).
Tech falls in the Clavert Hall match belonged to Devin Davis (112) and Scott Strapelli (119), who both pinned against Bowie and Ryan Etkins (160), while the tech falls in the Bowie match went to Zach Donato (152), and TJ Centi (140), both earning decisions in the Calvert Hall match.
The Cardinals did leave the gym with a win, Tuesday, beating Bowie, 45-28.
Key pins from Collin DeMatt (112), Luke Koski (125), Kyle Cervantes (171) and Niko Massa (189) were combined with decisions by Matt Crum (135), Bryan Zoppo (140), Aaron Sampson (145) and Alex Evans (1520 for the win.
After defeating two teams by a collective score of 150-6, the Patriots will prepare for the Penn Manor Tournament this weekend, while the Cardinals head to Archbishop Spalding, Dec, 15.
