The John Carroll Patriots didn’t take much time off this past winter break, heading up to Pennsylvania and representing Maryland in the Boiling Springs Tournament.
The Pats ended the tournament in second place behind host Boiling Springs, crowning four champs in the process.
George Weber, Scott Strappelli, Joe Vitucci and Mathew Miller all won their respective weightclasses, as Dan Froehlich, Lance Waters and Rob Clingerman were runners-up.
The Patriots will greet 2011 with one of their hardest opponents on their schedule, hosting McDonogh in a dual meet, Jan. 5.
