St. Vincent Pallotti moved to 3-0 on the volleyball with a three-game sweep of Catholic Thursday afternoon in an IAAM non-league match. Victoria Johnson led Pallotti with five kills and a season-high 8 aces.
The Laurel school controlled match with their serving, converting 20 aces compared to only three missed serves. Senior Jordyn Crockett-Hill provided some separation in the first set with four aces among a cluster of 7 points. Senior Amber Crouse added two aces as part of a six-point cluster that broke open the third set.
Pallotti will be in Catonsville for a non-league match with Western Tech Friday before opening IAAM A league play at McDonogh School Wednesday. Catholic (1-2 overall) hosts Friends Monday afternoon in IAAM C Red divisional match.
