The weather may have been bitter cold, but the St. Vincent Palloti bats were on fire, Friday, scorching 38 runs over the course of three hours in the team’s softball win over Chapelgate, 38-12.

In an incredible seven plate appearances, junior catcher Shannon Palmateer went a perfect three-for-three for the Panthers, lacing two doubles and a single in her seven-RBI day, including four walks, with senior Jordyn Crockett also ringing in four RBIs on her two-for-two day, reaching base six times and ending the game with a double-play with a catch in leftfield and out-out at second.

Julianna Romaniuk and Danielle each went teo-for-three from the place, combining for seven more runs between the two stars, while Lyndey Llewellyn pitched the complete game win, striking out three of the 33 batters faces and walking just four.

Pallotti’s next game comes on Wednesday against Catholic High, while Chapelgate hosts Notre Dame Prep.
