St. Vincent Pallotti High’s volleyball team improved to 2-0 on the young season, sweeping Georgetown Day School (D.C.), 25-16, 25-16, 25-6, in a non-league contest Tuesday in Laurel.

Junior middle hitter Victoria Johnson had nine kills and four aces for the Panthers, who trailed by two points in the second set. Sophomore libero Carissa Hill’s serving led Pallotti on a 8-0 run en route to victory.

Pallotti scored 20 points with Hill serving. The Panthers travel to Catholic for an IAAM non-league match Thursday.
